2007 ELECTIONS FOR MARAE REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE
RONGOWHAKAATA CHARITABLE TRUST
Nominations were received for the following Rongowhakaata
Marae for their respective Rongowhakaata Charitable
Trust (RCT) Trustee position.
Marae Nominees

Jody Toroa
Carol Wyllie
As more than one nomination was received for Manutuke
Marae, an election for the Trustee position for Manutuke
Marae on RCT will be held.
Ohako
Nellie Brooking
Thelma Karaitiana
Stan Pardoe
As more than one nomination was received for Ohako
Marae, an election for the Trustee position for Ohako
Marae on RCT will be held.
Te Kuri a Tuatai
Lisa Taylor
As only one nomination was received for
Te Kuri a Tuatai Marae, the Nominee will be automatically
elected.
Te Pahou
Jacqueline Jones
As only one nomination was received for Te Pahou Marae,
the Nominee will automatically be elected.
Voting
Therefore, this is to notify that a vote is to be
held as from today 31 August 2007, to fill the Trustee
position on RCT for Manutuke Marae and Ohako Marae.
Voting is by Postal Ballot only. Voting papers can
be obtained by contacting the RCT Administrator, Wai
Waipara, at the RCT Office, telephone 06 862 8086,
Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 3.00pm or, by email
to trust@rongowhakaata .iwi.nz
The highest polling nominee for Manutuke Marae and
Ohako Marae will be elected as Trustee for the respective
Marae.
Voting papers must be completed correctly and returned
in the envelope provided to the:

Please note: Each Marae (Manutuke and Ohako Marae)
is further entitled to elect one Alternate, who will
be the next highest polling nominee after the nominee
who is elected Trustee for the respective Marae. As
Te Kuri a Tuatai Marae and Te Pahou Marae had insufficient
nominees to make an appointment of Alternate, the
position for the two Marae will not be filled.
The deadline and closing date for returning your
voting forms will now be at 12.30pm on 28 September
2007. This closing date will give members four weeks
in which to vote in these Trustee Elections.
Adult Members or Adult Registered Members of Rongowhakaata
may only exercise one vote for their chosen nominee
for their nominated Marae
The Results of the Elections will be announced at
the RCT AGM being held 10.00am Sunday 30 September
2007 at Te Pahou Marae, Tuaraki Road, Manutuke
A public notice will be issued on 8 October 2007
in the following newspapers:

The New Zealand Herald
The Press
